A little about us...
Hello! we are chris and ali barnfather and are the faces behind whorlton pods.
(and oscar & mia of course!)
Four Wynds has been home to Chris his whole life so there isn’t an inch about the place that he doesn’t know!
After marrying in 2017 and accomplishing many projects together over the years, we decided to share with you this beautiful place we get to call home.
It all started with lots of ideas and a vision – that is now a reality for us by the name of Whorlton Pods.
In October 2018 we started digging,
dumpering and piping water – and the result
is our stunning pond that now backdrops
the Pods site.
In May 2019 our little man arrived, so we left things to settle, the vegetation to establish and started our journey as a family of three.
In January 2020 we worked alongside
The Woodland Trust and had
over 2500 trees planted
across the Four Wynds site.
In October 2020 on typically the
wettest day of the year, we
excitedly welcomed the arrival of our
stunning pods.
Winter 2020 meant we battled through
months of bad weather – but had
plenty of brew stops along the way!
By April 2021 – there was light at
the end of the tunnel.
We were getting there and the weather was finally starting to be on our side.
May 2021 – welcome!
We put away the diggers, put down our tools – and finally opened our doors to welcome you!
